Mathilda Cappeliez, born in 1998, is from Evian, France. With an impressive amateur golf record, she dominated the French amateur ranking for five consecutive years, from the age of 14 to 18, and reached the 8th position according to the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR). Following her success in amateur golf, Mathilda pursued her studies and athletic development in the United States as part of the Women's golf team at Wake Forest University. Subsequently, she earned a Bachelor's degree in International Business from IESEG School of Management, France, followed by an MSc in Corporate Finance from EDHEC Business School France.
Her golf journey is marked by notable achievements, including her membership in the French Girls & Ladies National Team from 2012 to 2017. In 2014, she won the Dixie Women’s Amateur, and represented Europe as a member of the Junior team at the Ryder Cup and the Solheim Cup in 2014 and 2015. Her accomplishments include making the cut and securing a 59th place at the US Women’s Open, a participation in The Evian Championship in 2015, and semi-finals at the US Women’s Amateur in 2015 and 2016. Later, she transitioned to professional golf by joining the Epson Tour and the Ladies European Tour, until 2020.
